Race With The Devil, starring Peter Fonda; a Satanic coven
chases after two couples who've witnessed a sacrifice....a
few thrilling moments thru-out the film but the end really
gave me chills!
The Believers starring Martin Sheen against a clan of
Voodoo killers...a bit hair-raising.
A Couple of made-for-TV: Summer Of Fear with Linda Blair
and Crowhaven Farm with Hope Lange. Frightening maybe
because they could both happen (if you believe in things
occult).

I always liked "The Believers", too!

My mom (who is not a horror enthusiast to begin with) absolutely hated this movie, because she sooooo could not deal with the spider/cheek scene.

She doesn't even remember the name of it, but she talks about "that horrible movie" that my dad and I "made her watch". <img src="/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

My all-time "freak-out" movie, that I have a hard time watching w/out nightmares is "Event Horizon". That one just completely creeps me out! <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I haven't seen The Believers, so you 2 are ahead of me here.

A horror movie that I enjoy and can repeatedly watch would be Night of the Demon (or Curse of the Demon for any Americans) with Dana Andrews. Made in 1957 it is creepy, well filmed and manages to get past a few clunky FX.

Event Horizon was good (and the best film the Director has done).

I am a bit of a zombie fan, so I shall list Evil Dead 1 and 2 and The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (or Let Sleeping Corpse's Lie for any Americans again!)
