I've made several Raggedy Ann dolls and I'm searching for a better needle to use on the yarn hair. I understand doll maker needles with large eyes are available. Does anyone know where I can find them and whether or not they come in sizes. Thanks! Suzanne

Ha, ha, I know what trouble it can be to thread yarn into a needle. First I found a packet of large darning/embroidery needles at Beverly's fabrics.

My trick for threading the needles is to lay the end of the yarn on a piece of scotch tape, fold the tape over the top of the thread, smash it flat, and cut it so it fits the width of the eye of the needle. Then just cut off the taped thread end.

Hi

Doll needles have the added advantage of being longer than ordinary sewing needles. I bought mine from a craft shop. They came on a card of 3 and were not to expensive at all

Hope that helps
