How does The Brewing Network "guarantee" that the required "streaming plug-in" is free of spyware or adware? I have had problems in the past with downloading plug-ins from the internet, and I am VERY cautious now - Anyone who has been plagued by a Trojan Horse or Virus or pop-ups because of accepting a plug-in from the internet would not even CONSIDER downloading a plug-in to listen to this.
Does anyone have an answer to this???
Dragonfly, I have zero technical association with The Brewing Network Show, so I can't answer your question directly. I can tell you from personal experience that I have not had, nor have I heard of anyone else having, any kind of trouble with the Abacast plug-in required to listen to the show. During each show, the site's chat room is very active with dozens of listeners discussing the show in real time. In 4 months of participating in that chat, I have not encountered a single user complaining that they picked up a virus, trojan horse or anything else. So while I cannot actually "guarantee" the integrity of the plug-in, I will personally vouch for it. The internet stream (and required plug-in) is provided by Abacast, which is a respected commercial entity.
I hope you will decide to check out the show. I believe you will like what you find.
