Rebecca and Esther were my great grandmother's names...I have always thought they were beautiful names

I love the name Rebecca and had an aunt named Esther.
Deborah was a warrior and a judge. A very strong woman!

I knew of a woman whose name was Dorcas. I alway thought that was the strangest name. It was some time before I found out that it is a biblical name! <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> My apologies to anyone whose name is Dorcas.

My son had a teacher named Dorcas...she went by Dot or Dottie. Connie

Yes, she was. I hated the name when I was a kid, but as an adult, I love it. And, I love the Bible story. I'm kind of hoping to have a grandson named Gideon.

When we were pregnant with our last child we had a huge debate. My husband is David Adam. my 1st son is Michael, My daughter is Jordan. Since the first two are from a previous marriage we decided to name our son Seth (he's the 3rd son of Adam) because David said the other two were his, too. It was the middle name we fought over. I wanted a Gabriel to go with Michael, but David hated it, we settled on Daniel. Seth Daniel. (In hindsight naming this child after an angel would have been a huge joke) <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Remember how I said naming Seth after an angel would have been a HUGE JOKE? Well my little 2 yr old "angel" just painted his face with Desitin. He looks like one of those clowns that you see in the paintings by Norman Rockwell. <img src="/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> Beware if you name your child Seth.
