I used to play this poetry game called 9 Word Challenge, in which someone would post 9 random words and you created a poem or story. You could use other words as well, but those 9 words had to be incorporated somehow. It was interesting to see how people's individual poems reflected what was going on in their life at the moment.
After cutting these apart and putting them in a jar, the 9 words game could easily be done and I think this list could be added to as you run into interesting words, thoughts or phrases.
