1...The Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body of Christ.

2.... To preach of the riches of Christ to the Gentiles and tell them that they are members of the body.

3...That the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. (?)

4...Standing up for the teaching of Jesus.

5...That they would be strengthened in Christ and they would know His wisdom.

1. I like the way the Message Bible explains it - People who have never heard of God and those who have heard of Him all their lives stand on the same ground before God. They all get the same offer and the same help and the same promises in Christ. The gospel is accessible to everyone.

2. To share Jesus' message with people who did not grow up knowing God. He was to bring out in the open God's plan.

3. That is something I wonder about too! First, the church is to make known His plan. So churches should be welcoming all those who don't know Him.!! As we talked about before churches are even bickering among themselves. Not very welcoming!
Then in the Message it says that the plan is becoming known and talked about even among the angels. (Interesting!)

4. "Standing up for the teaching of Jesus."
yep! I think so too.

5. Exactly! And I love the way the Message states 3:17
"that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite Him in" and then that with all the Christians, they would be able to take in the vast dimensions of God's love.
