I mentioned this a few months ago but I think I put it in an inappropriate forum - so I figured I would start another one Have you all heard about the new Narnia movie that is coming out? I am pretty excited about it and I'm sure there are some other CS Lewis fans out there... So I just wanted to see what you all think.

I have no experience with CS Lewis, but my children and I recently started listening to Lion, Witch... on audiobook and they are really enjoying it!

That's great that you are introducing your kids to the world of Narnia! My mom used to read me the books and a kid and those stories were (and still are!) some of my favorites. I really hope these movies help to revive the books

I just heard that the trailer for LWW is premiering this weekend during Harry Potter - as if I needed another excuse to stay in on Saturday and watch HP, LOL I'm really excited to FINALLY see some more footage of Narnia - yay!

I am a huge fan and I love the BBC version of this book, but I am really looking forward to this movie! I have heard about, but when we went to see Star Wars there was a trailer and I fell in love! It does not look as dark as the on BBC version is, but have to wait and see!

Hi Fionna! That's so cool that you got to see it in theaters on the big screen - i'm jealous! I still haven't seen it in theaters but I've watched it online at least a dozen times, lol! Just curious... What was the general response in the theater?

When everyone knew what the trailer was, the whole theater just sit there and watched it in awe! There was some good buzz about it.

My son's teacher had their 3rd grade class read the lion, the witch and the wardrobe this past school year. My son loved it. I have read the series myself and love it. I bought the series for my daughter a couple of years ago and she's read through them a couple of times now. So, year we are big fans. We are all Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fans. However, I don't believe Fundamentalist Christians like those books as much as CS Lewis' books. lol

I've known about this series and knew a movie was coming out soon. I also knew it would be something I'd want my 11 year old to see but when we saw the previews for it before the Star War movie started, I not only was mesmerized but became very excited about it... My DH, son and I all agree that it looks wonderful and just can't believe that we have to wait until December this year before it will actually hit the theaters... Trust me, for anyone who have kids especially boys who love magic and adventure, I've heard this classic series offers a classic, moral approach to all that and the artwork and graphics from what I saw of this preview for the movie will snare the interest of your children and keep them enthralled... I am curious though that since there is SO many books to this series if it will be handled like Lord of the Rings and each year another part of the story will be made into a movie or if it will just be this first book.

Angela, in response to your question, I think they are planning to do all of the other books, assuming LWW does well, which of course it will I think there are a lot of Narnia fans who would love to see all the books made into movies!
