I never do wake up in the end. I do remember in the second one, I actually wondered if it was impossible for me to wake up that I contemplated the idea of forcing myself to wake... but in both instances, I continued on and forgot I was dreaming.

lil baby7 - I've got to run off to work......regarding the first part of your post, you might find this book review helpful:

Bereavement Dreaming and the Individuating Soul

Dragon, Wendy has some good insight on your lucid dreams. She's so good, in fact, that I should hire her as executive associate

There are some links in our Lucid Dreaming section that you may also find helpful.

Dragon - maybe perhaps if it happens again explore a little bit...sometimes before going to sleep try suggesting a dream topic for yourself...such as if you have an issue at home, work, what have you not, that needs to be worked out. Just to play around...see what happens.

A friend of mine kept on having dreams about a dead horse of his that would be in his bedroom at night and over and over he would lead Patrick to his stall...I suggested that perhaps he let Patrick lead him the next time he had the dream.

Knowing that you are awake in a dream is one thing...but the symbols and everything else in the dream also play a major role in figuring it all out and you in the end are the judge of what on earth it means.

Parthena... such a wonderful complement...it's nice to use my knowledge for someone elses benefit...it can get boring & tedious analyzing just yourself all the time. As for the terra cotta color - very earth based as are wolves; also both are inherently feminine...this marriage for her is a new venture in that this man is infinitely better than her last husband. So perhaps the tc foreshadows stability for her.

Last note - Ill be gone to VT for a week on business...try not to miss me too much

I had a dream that my daughter had children. When I woke up I told my husband the dream. He had just had a dream about her, that we were driving down the street we used to live on and she lived in a house there with several children. These were very sad dreams; we had them a year or so after she died on her 24th bday, in a single car accident on a rainy evening, going 30 mph and wearing her seat belt. Coming home to open her presents and blow out her candles. Please be careful when you drive in the rain. We had our dreams on the same night. She was single with no children.

I have had two dreams about being chased, several years apart. T-rex was after me and my friend Edi, we were flying and flapping our arms very hard. T-rex was right behind us, and I was slightly ahead of Edi. The dream ended. Several weeks ago, I dreamed godzilla was walking around, looking for me, he was glowing from the fire within. He had "godzilla-ized"? three people, they were walking around like him, with the internal fire glow. They came in the house after me and I ran into the water. When they came in the water after me, it disabled their godzilla-like appearance and fire, and were just humans. I realized staying in the water would keep me safe. Then I woke up. And I have no idea what these mean, but I now hate dinosaurs.

Hi Firefly, and welcome to the forum. In your other threads you also speak about predictive dreams, but I think that this one is different in that it involves a lost loved one. This dream, although sad, may have been a message from her. I can imagine losing a child and I'm sorry to hear that you've had this experience.

I recently reviewed this book:

Bereavement Dreaming and the Individuating Soul

You may find it very helpful. The author says that people who die suddenly in tragedies like this take a little while to get comfortable on the other side. The author lost her son at 16 years of age and writes about her experience as well as including some valuable information about dream interpretation in general.

Thanks Wendy and Parthena. I'll keep it in mind. I don't know how soon it might happen again but I think having two this year broke a personal record. hehe.
