Do you have a Holiday Beer Tradition?

When I was a little tyke, we always left carrots for Santa's reindeer, cookies for Santa, and a note that Santa look in the freezer and fridge for a special "Pick-Me-Up." As the tradition goes, we frosted the mug, and left a chilly beer in the fridge - Santa was from up North, and we knew he must love beer!

OK, you Lagerheads! Here's one to match:

My Uncle Boris comes by every Christmas Eve. Uncle Boris is originally from Russia, with a thick Russian accent (even though he has lived in this country for 60 years), and a gregarious laugh. He has developed a great fondness for Crazy Rasputin's Russian Imperial Stout, so we have plenty on hand for his holiday visit. As he tells stories and sucks down the stout, he starts handing out 100 dollar bills to everyone! Last year he made 2 or 3 rounds! More Crazy Rasputin!!!

Cheers!

Valentine's Day is coming up! Women often hope to get a dozen red roses, as a sign of deep, passionate love. What do we plan for our men?

How about a dozen beautiful craft beers in a tightly woven basket, with his favorite pretzels and pistachio nuts? Few men would be able to resist such seduction!

A friend gave me reindeer food today. It looks a little like dry oatmeal with glitter in it. The tradition says that when you sprinkle it on your lawn, it glitters in the moonlight and leads Santa's reindeer right to your door. I think they left out the part that says you must drink a winter warmer after spreading the reindeer food, so you are filled with warm thoughts of the friend that gave you the glittery food.
