<img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I own a 1992 dodge shadow that I am trying to get information on about how to clean the gas tank and the gas sock filter without removal. What chemical can I use to do this? As last resort, can I replace the fuel pump with an outside the tank fuel pump?

yeah you really want to pull the pump and buy a new sock part, it may or most likely need it...otherwise redline additives will get you by until something else goes on the car.

if it has noticable problems though i wouldnt blame the fuel pump filter. ive never pulled one out so keep that in mind but it is a level 1-2 on a scale of five.
