Hi Shannon,

I looked up images from the Servants of the Light Tarot. Exquisite!

However, I can't find the 13 Archetypes book at Amazon, even when I search the author's name. Would you know where I can read more about it and possibly order it? Thanks!

Hi Shelley!

No worries! Just like any group, I guess we sometimes use words and phrases that would cause a "huh?" for those not familiar.

A Tarot or Oracle deck is a type of deck used for divination, insight, and personal meditation. There are hundreds of these kinds of decks. Oracle decks work on the same premise, but may not follow the prescribed cards of Tarot (having a Major and Minor Arcana, for example.)

NLP stands for "Neuro-Linguistic Programming". People like Anthony Robbins and other motivation authors and speakers are big on NLP. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) studies the structure of how humans think and experience the world. Regarding learning styles, an auditory person may more easily grasp teachings that use the words "Can you hear what I mean?" or "How does that sound?" (appealing to the auditory funciton.)

To appeal to the visual learner, one would use "Do you see what I mean?" or "Can you visualize that?" or "Does that look good to you?"

For the kinesthetic, it would be "Can you grasp what I mean?", "How does that feel?" or "Have you got a grip on that?"

How a person learns if often indicated by their speech. Those who often use "I see" are visual learners. Those who often use "I hear" are auditory. Those who use "I get it" would be kinesthetic.

Digital people like myself often say "I think" or ask questions like "Does that make sense?" It's a logical type of learning...very mental in nature. (The above are just examples, btw.)

Regarding astrological signs, when someone asks "What's your sign?" they're asking about your Sun Sign. The Moon sign is something different. It's associated with how we process emotion, among other things.

I hope that helps clarify! Feel free to ask more questions about terminology and such, if you'd like.

18. Where are you in the birth order in your family?

Oldest of 2. So is my husband.

19. Are you left-handed or right-handed?

Right handed.

20. Have you ever met anyone in person that you met first *online*?

Yes. It was a business related thing.

Yes, NLP is much more than learning styles, which is why I said NLP studies the structure of how humans think and experience the world., as well as referenced Anthony Robbins.

Thanks, Janet. I am fascinated by NLP!!! I have to do more reading on this!! Just by your examples, though, I'd have to say I am more of a combination than I previously thought. I still think I'm mostly visual but language processes and the way people learn has always fascinated and interested me. As a teacher, especially a teacher of special education, I have a particular interest in how children learn and process language. Thanks for this.

Off topic...have you named the kitty yet???
