Well, the hubby & I were in a bit of a slump, what with living with his grandma while our house was being finished...and one night, while in the bathtub I "chanted/meditated" a bit. Free verse that somehow rhymed (for the most part)to a goddess or two (don't remember which ones!)to give us a little "spark". This was early in my wicca study, and i had been trying to decide on things like a familiar that I identified with etc.

A bit later, out of the tub and with my hubby-- towards the "end" I suddenly got this flash of a growling black panther. Not sure if my eyes were closed or open, but there it was big as life. I even heard it growling (or was that me? LOL)
Needless to say , it scared me to death, but was invigorating at the same time. I guess you could say my familiar chose me!

I wish I could remember the chant (slumpin' again-LOL)

I'll save the "be careful what you wish for" story for another day. (It involves a spell for money, a candle that really wigged me out, and a car accident that netted me $8000 in the end.)

Just processed my Amazon.com order today for the Da Vinci code and Secrets & Mysteries! Can't wait! While I'm not into goddess worship or anything, I do believe that God holds all feminine energy as well! I do happen to think that we gals are the superior sex, and that God was only practicing with Adam! LOL ;-)

Maybe after I read up a bit I'll have something more to contribute here, I hope. But my personal journey has led me into bringing out and balancing more of my yin energy (as a triple Aries, I reek Yang! LOL :rolleyes: ).

Janey, I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts once you read those books! I can't see myself worshipping Goddess, per se, but integrating the Divine Feminine. As I mention in my article The God Of Your Understanding, it's Father that I'm most comfortable with right now.

I have Aries ASC and an Aquarius Moon, so I hear ya! While Scorpio is my Sun and I have lots of planets in the 8th house and on the cusp of the 7th, Mars/Pluto is still the ruler! So while Scorp is considered Water/Yin, it sure feels Yang to me! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
