Yerbatera, I'm getting a bit weirded out here. You wrote:

I have NO idea what that has to do with the Addict Archetype or my new article. However, this is where it gets quite weird... (Gotta love synchronicity!)

You said Rush Tarot? Are you talking about the band Rush??? Because, I just got my copy of Rush's Vapor Trails CD last night and was surprised and delighted that there were Tarot card images throughout the liner notes! I said to myself, "OMG, a combo of 2 things I love: Tarot and Rush". I went to the Rush.com Discussion Boards earlier to ask who was into Tarot in the band (Peart?), but for some reason, the Board URL doesn't seem to be on the homepage anymore. I took it as a sign that I needed to be doing other things...

So you really must explain your post. LOL eek

MMA all!

Janey, you got my curiosity up; did my version of 'Netliomancy and did a Google search for "Hertia". It's not a hangnail, but any goddess would be proud to have this flower!

MMA Janet!

Chalk that up to 'user error'; thought I was replying to the original message in the thread (D'oh!). To take a Freudian spin on my faux pas, I guess you could say I'm addicted to Tarot while hubby is addicted to Rush!

And, yes, you are correct: the band that's long overdue for admission to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! It's probably a good thing you couldn't post there; Peart is so against anything 'religious' (a classic Virgo, in a good Spock-like way!). It's actually Geddy who is pagan. Found that someone else has done this idea already, but poorly, IMO. Not a true fan, or else he'd be aware of how Peart feels & wouldn't have used his picture repeatedly. Also I disagreed with his elemental & card associations, so for me, it'd be hard to use this deck in a practical manner.

I hope that I've cleared things up for ya; sorry for being confusing! I guess I saw more connections between your article and Tarot than you did...

yerbatera

No, that's fine! It's no doubt one of those synchronistic waves we were riding together. LOL

I knew that Peart was an agnostic, yet his lyrics are so spiritual. They move me deeply. Peart is Rush's lyricist, and he specifically uses Tarot card names in the song Peaceable Kingdom:

Quote:
Justice against The Hanged Man
Knight of Wands against the hour
Swords against the kingdom
Time against The Tower...

The Hermit against The Lovers
Or the Devil against The Fool
Swords against the kingdom
the Wheel against the rules...
So as you can see, Peart must not object to Tarot! Plus, those Tarot images are in the liner notes of the CD, accompanying each song. Some people see divinatory tools such as Tarot, Runes, and the I Ching very much apart from God/the Divine/spirituality. (I know, mind blowing...but I've seen it!)

(I'm going to see Rush on Memorial Day, btw! I'm so psyched!)

I didn't realize that there was a Rush deck out there! If you guys ever complete one, please let me know!

How did you find out Geddy is pagan? I had no idea. Utterly fascinating.

MMA Janet!

I think that hubby may be projecting his own disdain for all things religious onto Peart (Aries Sun, Aquarius Moon but beau coup Pisces!). I think for some people, there is a big difference between being spiritual and being religious (myself included). He admits that before meeting me, he had no respect for those claiming to be religious/spiritual; I've got his curiosity up! LOL Geddy is a Leo and is pagan -- can you imagine him calling the Quarters? Hubby gave me this little tidbit about him. I'll have to ask him to elaborate further when he gets home tonight.

Have fun at the concert -- we both know it'll be memorial! :music:

BTW, here's the link to the existing Rush Tarot deck.

**** blink blink blink **** Wow! I think I'm having a flashback with all this convo about Rush! LOLOL

Hey! Nice Hestia Hertia there, Yerba!! LOL Thanks for the link!

Janet, about that Addict thingy.....

I have Seeker (as you know ). A lost Seeker looks very much like Addict to me. Would you agree? Constantly looking and looking and looking, motivated and somewhat manic about finding "it" outside itself...some missing 'key'. Or is this the two arkies working in tandem energy wise??

Hi again, yabatera! I thought Geddy was a Cancer! His birthday must be towards the end of July if he's a Leo. That Rush Tarot deck is...unusual. LOL Geddy as "the hangin' man". OMG, hilarious. No, I cannot imagine Geddy as a pagan. Too wild. You'll have to pester your husband and fill me in!

I hope the concert goes on! If Alex ends up serving jail time for the New Year's Eve brawl, we may be in trouble. (His court date is days before the first concert of the tour.)

Hi Janey!

Yes, I realize Seeker can be like an Addict. *nods* I once wondered if they were the one in the same. For me, though, I believe they would be separate energies. How are things with you, btw?

Scorpio, I have about 15 credits to finish my BS degree, then I'll go for my master's in either marriage/family psych or counseling psych. I don't need a doctorate to get licensed as a counselor and there's more demand for master's degree counselors right now than Ph.Ds, so I'm not planning on that right now, maybe eventually if I want to do private practice or teach college or something.
