I"ve read bits and pieces of it online the past few days. I think that is one I am definitely going to have to try and find.

I'm reading To Stir a Magick Cauldron by Silver RavenWolf. I really appreciate that it goes in depth about casting circles and creating sacred space. I feel that many beginners books are lacking in that area...

I'm a big "Freebie", getting money for doing online suveys and points junkie, and earlier in this topic a few of you mentioned about reading books by Scott Cunniingham.

I received an email offer today from a site I belong to, sign up and get points kind of thing. One of the sites it wanted me to check out was OneSpirit.com, a book club. If any of you are interested in this kind of thing you can get SETS of his books, when you sign up to join it. I'm not much on book clubs, not because of price or service or anything, but just becasue I don't purchase many books. But I am considering joining this one. I figure joining it and getting his books this way might equal say if I were to pay shipping ordering them seperately from another site.

Just thought I'd let you all know.

Hello!

Just wondering what books on spirituality or New Age topics that you've been reading. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I've been reading an interesting book called A Pilgrim in Aquarius and still working on The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Feel free to share any books you've been reading!

I just got 'The Power of Now" about a month ago - I absolutely loved it. Another fabulous read - mind the title, it's actually quite spiritually profound, is 'The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Stevens. It was written in the early 1920's and is now a free Ebook you can find on the web. The principles are metaphysically amazing.

I'm currenly reading 'Holy Cow" by Sarah MacDonald, and re-reading "Incest" by Anais Nin.

Thanks Lisbeth- will have to look up the e book!

Moonshadows that club offer does look tempting- I used to belong to book clubs over here but got fed up with 'editor's choices' arriving when I'd forgotten to order. This one looks better- for a start the introductory offer gives you a really big choice of books. Check the small print!!

For those in the UK I can recommend Cygnus Books, based here in Wales. You get a free brochure every month, they don't send any 'editor's choices', you don't have to order if you don't want to & all the books are discounted. No fancy joining gifts though. www.cygnus-books.co.uk

Has anyone read The Field by Lynne McTaggart? This book does an excellent job of showing how quantum physics could support things like telepathy, tarot, astral travel, spells, etc... It is broken down so that non-techy people can grasp it to. I highly suggest this book along with Science of the Craft by William Keith (though it probably wouldn't hurt to have a bit of knowledge on the subject). I would suggest reading Science of the Craft first.

Both of these books are must haves for anyone who requires science behind their witchcraft or other New Age beliefs.

If you have read either of these books, what did you think??

Hi Froggie

Good suggestions, thanks! I have The Field & started reading it, but got distracted....it is quite a serious read & by bedtime I'm often too tired for that level of reading smile

I agree there do seem to be 'proper' scientific explanations given for many of the phenomena that can be associated with the movement of energy & the energetic connections between all things. I'll look out for the other book.
