I've just read 'Calls to Mystic Alice'. I loved this book- Alice Rose Morgan has a lifetime of psychic experience & wisdom which she conveys with great warmth & readability. You can read my review of the book here:

Hi, I just found this site & love it!
Right now I'm reading Transcending The Levels of Consciousness(The Stairway to Enlightenmnet) by David R. Hawkins, M.D.,PhD This is his fifth book - the first was Power vs Force.
He and his research team have calibrated levels of consciousness & throughout his works, he suggests lots of ways to move beyond thoses levels - it's all fascinating to me & so helpful.

Glad you like the site Judy- thanks for the feedback

I have read about Dr David Hawkins in a magazine I think- is he the guy that has been testing the level of integrity on the planet? It was a fascinating article & made a lot of sense. Basically it was saying that as people worked on raising their own integrity it would have a knock on effect on the rest of humanity- a hopeful message compared to the 'poor me I'm too small to do anything' stance.

I believe in this 'ripple effect' too. The film 'What the Bleep' mentions an experiment where a group of meditators significantly lowered the rate of violent crime in Washington DC over the period of thir meditations- as proven by police crime stats!

[quote]Why do clowns have that effect on so many people? You would think they would elicit feelings of joy, or something...

My daughter saw one little scene when I was watching the movie "It" and some 4 years later she is still terrified of clowns.

"It" will definately do it, but if a little kid never saw that movie until the teenage years it seems that they wouldn't be afraid... You would still have all of those years of good associations. I don't know.

Let us know what you think of it. I have 'Wicca' & several other books by Scott, but not this one.

It is excellent so far. I wish I had been able to read his first book for the "Solitary Practioner" first, but I just appreciate having this one to read. Te doesn't talk over you, or say that you have to do EVERYTHING a certain way.

I am DEFINITELY looking forward to reading his other books.

Yes, I agree, his very friendly & relaxed style of writing makes his work *much* easier to digest than most. He was such a prolific writer too. I've got 'Wicca in the Kitchen' on the shelf ready to read.
