Sarah,
Boleslawiec have very intresting history.
Here is the grave general Kutuzow. This is general who did fight against Napoleon Bonaparte.
Bonaparte did stay in Boleslawiec two times.
One time He went to Moscou . He was stong , much of power with lot of soldiers and second time when He came back and He was defeat. He was lonely only with two soldiers. Here is hause where he did stay.
We havent the monuments from ww2 but old town was destoyed and was renoweded after the ww2.

Ogurek,

Bydgoszcz sounds very interesting. There are so many intersting places to see in Poland. I am also interested in hearing more about this MRU place. It sounds like it would be a good place to play around with a metal detector. From what you have described one may find some very interesting things there.
May I ask what do most people in that area do for jobs? and have you noticed if jobs are getting easier to find?

Ogurek,
I found a website with pictures of the MRU area. Wow! What a place! It looks as though there is still an extensive tunnel system in the pictures I was looking at. Are these tunnels still there? Have you ever been down in them?
All of the sites I found were in Polish and I cannot read Polish so all I could do was look at the pictures. Very cool place though.

Malgosia,
Did the Americans from Georgia like their tour?
When you take them on tour do they see how the pottery is made? Do they see the pottery being painted?

Sounds like you make a great guide -- with lots of information on the area history and pottery. Be sure and tell us all about the places you took your recent visitors from America! What were their faves?

Sarah,
I just did a search at Google on "Międzyrzecki Rejon Umocniony" and came up with many sites with pictures on them. It was very interesting and I for one would like to see this place if we were anywhere near that area when we visit Poland.
