I have just acquired a pound of quiviet fiber. Does anyone have experience or suggestions as how to best go about spinning this lovely stuff? It's so expensive I don't want to experiment on it or ruin it.
Grateful for your suggestions
Mary Lou

I have heard it's similar to alpaca...and I did spin with that. You won't ruin it! What in the world could you do to it? Just start spinning. Is it slippery? Then you are going to need more twist to keep it together. You will soon get the hang of what it needs to make it a good yarn. Does it have guard hairs in it, I just wonder? I've never spun it myself.
