I seem to be obsessed with obtaining programs and sometimes gadgets to make life easier, more organised and to save time.

What usually happens is that I end up with clutter, money wasted and I am frustrated with trying to figure out how to make this miraculous thing work properly. Sad thing is that I often spend more time after applying the program or gadget to our business or life.

Do you have a program/gadget/item that has actually worked and made things easier and faster for you? Do you have one that was a real waste?

I really spend too much time trying to find the bigger better mousetrap for our business management.

This year, I feel I wasted money on Quicken. I spent more time trying to get the program to work for our business than I spent on the books before getting it!!

My best gadget this year has been my spouse. Oh hey, I didn't have to spend extra on him, hehe. He did some work using Adobe while I was on maternity leave and came up with a great billing and filing system. I went back to work to find things organised and easier to manage.
