Okay let's play a game! The rules are simple. I will name a figure in mythology (any mythology, not just greek)

The next person names a figure using the last letter of the name that came before.

Okay my name is...Ashera

Ashera is the wife of El, and the mother of the Ugaritic (Canaanite)pantheon... yes I will be doing an article on her, soon.

No, you were really close, he is almost always shown at the forge, and is also refered to as the "lame smith" so he is the god of smithcrafting (ie the forge) they just usually dont come right out and say it (this is jessica here)

Hey y'all,

Is this the Greek god named Hesphaestus, by any chance, hope I spelled his name right. To the Romans, he was also known as Vulcan, I believe as well.

I assume he is usually shown at the forge because he's god of fire (pretty obvious ). And wasn't Seth the guardian of the dead or is he the creator of war, or both???

(Jessica here)The God Seth comes from Egyptian mythology. In many versions he is portrayed as the killer of Osiris. When he tried to take over Osiris' throne, Horus (son of osiris) challenged him. There is a huge long story about how Horus eventually got crowned, and it involves a lot of trickery, I'll let you know when I get the article done on seth

Hephaistos is in both greek and roman mythology, this is not surprising since the roman pantheon was taken almost directly from the greek. And yes, he is called Vulcan in roman mythology and he serves the same function.

I'll do both endings then:

Njugl - The njugl was a fabled animal corresponding to the Scottish water kelpie and the Old Norse nykur.

Melusina - the German water maid (you can read the story here)
