Hello Lynne and thanks for the welcome. I saw the topic and thought i would put in my 2 cents worth. I read your 1st post on this topic and it is so true. I also believe that hapma1121 is a good mother and will make a good grandmother. Her daughter will need all the support she can get and no condemnation. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

LOL!~ I was just thinking to myself. . . .boy, that sounds like Purpose Driven Life or 40 Days of Purpose. The book is Purpose Driven Life, but most churches refer to it as 40 days of purpose, for that is what the church does as a whole, when you read the book together.

I just posted another thread about this book, right before this. This book has TRULY changed my life! It gives you not just perspective, but purpose.

You realize that most of life is trivial. We are put here for 2 main purposes: to praise God and bring others to Him. Then, we have individual purposes that help bring about these other two purposes. It really helps you streamline your life, so that you are being the most effecient and effective in God's work. You also feel more rewarded and fulfilled:)

The other thing that I have found, is this book teaches you to figure out what your purpose is, and then streamline, so that you are accomplishing this purpose.

We can be busy with God's ministry, without being productive. I want to be productive:)

Hugs:)

As you all so eloquently pointed out here... God loves EACH and every child...despite the circumstances of the child's birth. God is the giver of life and therefore life is sacred. All life.

However, while we acknowledge the beauty and awe and potential of each and every child...and the capacity for God to forgive any and all sins, should we truly ask Him... we also must remember that as a society, we have just about totally stopped acknowledging sin. That is equally dangerous.

The child of sex outside of marriage is not sinful. The sin was the act of the parents who went outside of God's will and had sex without being married. The sin was on both the man and the woman...not just the woman (although in this society it seems that too many men bear little to no responsibility, and women only precious little). And, if it is sin to have sex outside the sanctity of marriage, then that includes all such unions...not just the couples who get caught up in an unplanned pregnancy. Whether you are 14 or 40, whether you are a man or a woman, whether you experience an unplanned pregnancy or not, the sin is when we go outside of the will of God. The sin is what we need forgiveness for ...and the sin is the act of disobedience to God...the sin is not the child --which is the resulting consequence of the act. The sin needs true repentence. The child is a blessing. -Jenny.

Thank you Jenny. That was also very eloquently put.

When someone truly begins to know God and truly rely on Him, they don't have to be told more than once that something that 'everybody does' is sin. The Holy Spirit begins to change us from the inside. He changes how we view the world and how we look at sin.

The great thing is that this all brings a joy to our lives that we never knew before.
