Unfortunately, if you live in Rhode Island, New York, or Florida you are not eligible to win since this contest is not registered in those states. Who invented Ivory Soap?

A workman who went to lunch forgot and left the soap mixing machine running too long was responsible for making Ivory Soap.

Cathy you're headed in the right direction. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Actually a person invented the soap and when they began making it in the factory for mass production, the gentleman you are talking about did in fact forget to turn off the machine when he went to lunch. The machine put so much air into the soap that it made the soap float. People began asking for the soap that floats, which is what Ivory soap is known for.

He is not the inventor though.
