My husband doesn't drink wine. Is there anything I can do after I open a bottle and drink my one or two glasses to keep the wine longer? - Other than drink the whole bottle and sleep for the rest of the day. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Invest in a wine vacuum. This is a simple hand pump and with stoppers.



It's inexpensive, $10, and you can save an opened bottle of wine for a couple of days. It works well for both red and whites. I would invest in a few stoppers to begin with.

I also highly, highly recommend getting a half bottle (or any glass bottle that is smaller than normal) and putting your extra wine there, corked up, in the fridge. Many wines get a really dead taste when you vacuum them, but if you simply pour the wine into a small glass bottle with no air in them at all, the wine stays quite nicely <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
