Hi Maria:

Here are a few more tips that zi've learned:

1. Make sure you have a professional looking website. You don't have to spend a fortune on it but just make sure that it looks good and doesn't contain any grammatical errors.

2. If possible, have your own URL and advertise it on all your correspondence, ads, etc.

3. Consider writing a booklet or ezine and giving it away for free on your website. This will increase your site's stickiness.

4. Join as many organizations as you can and network, network and network some more so that everyone knows about your business.

5. Handle customer complaints quickly and do your best to appease your clients whenever you possibly can.

By the way, I apologize for not spell checking my previous post but my two year old hit enter before I could proofread. Oh the joys of working at home with little ones underfoot.

Those are all great tips!!

There's an edit button on posts, if you want to just edit the post the next time

Definitely having a nice looking website at an easy to get to URL is key. Like you said, it doesn't have to cost a fortune. You can make your own site in Word now so you can do it yourself. But it should present a good image and not have glaring errors It's amazing how many websites I see out there that are full of typos! If someone doesn't even care to have their main site page checked for problems, it doesn't give me a lot of faith about the other work they do
