I lost 20 lbs when I gave up junk food for lent. When I say junk food I mean all junk food. No sweets, fast food, chips, or basically anything else that I had to think twice about. After a while I just got used to it and now carrots, apples, strawberries, grapes, and a bunch of other fruits and vegetables are much more appealing to me than junk food and I get plenty of fruits and veggies in my diet. Not only did I do that, but I exercised a lot. I ran and worked out in the gym almost everyday. The thing about dieting is, you have to eat right and exercise to healthily loose weight. Many people will eat less and loose weight, but not exercise. Yes, they might be loosing weight, but a lot of that is muscle mass and then you end up with "skinny fat" where you look skinny, but a larger percent of your body weight is actually fat. A thing that also really helped me was cooking my own meals and not going out too often. That way I could control what I was eating and knew what was going into it. So, eat a balanced diet with as little junk in it as you can and get good, aerobic exercise like running or biking as much as you can and the weight will come off.

Hi Mumra.

I'm on the Sonoma Diet right now. It's acturally a way of life. It's a version of the Mediterrainean diet.
Tons of veges. Whole grains. Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The recipes are to die for!

I can easily and will eat this way for the rest of my life.
Nothing is off limits. Portion control is a must.
But I can even have wine with dinner.

It's a very healthy way of life.

Thanks for asking!
NY Nan

I really don't have a specific diet at the moment but I always see to it that I watch all the foods that I eat.

I always make sure that they are healthy and fat free.

Doing some exercises also keep me maintain my weight.
