my garden has heavy clay soil, is there anything I can use to lighten it up to make it easier to work with? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Cover your clay soil with 8 inches of chopped leaves. Let them stay over the winter. Then have someone with a rototiller till the soil for you. You'll be amazed at how fast clay soil can become "good soil" this way.

Dear Ann Erskine ,

For Hard Clay soils you can employ Neem Coir peat or CoCo Coir Peat which will soften the soil and helps the plant roots to breath better and a good application of the same will turn your soil into fertile land.
