Cruise Ship Blues by Ross A Klein is an expose of the "underside of the cruise industry". It talks about the pollution, awful work conditions, and deceptive marketing practices used by many cruise lines. If you're interested in cruising, it's a very interesting book to read, just to give yourself a balanced view. The cruise lines certainly spend millions on convincing you that cruising is perfect

The book lists at $15. Only adults 18 and older can enter, from the US or UK. You cannot edit your posts, first person with the correct answer gets a point. The first person to get 3 points wins the book! I'll ship it to you for free Full sweepstakes rules are here -

Lisa, I love cruising. I don't know that I would like to know about the dark side.

SweetPeaQuilter is right and gets a point!

Angie - actually I think it's always good to have a rounded view of things you love, so that you can make it even better. Let's say that you know the staff is being underpaid on the cruise. It means instead of snarling at them for being slow, you give them support for having worked 14 hours already that day, and give them good tips. Let's say you know that many ships throw trash overboard - it means you choose a ship that has a great recycling program, and give them public praise for taking that step.

If we love cruising, then we should do our best to help them fix these problems and to reward the ships that make the effort. Otherwise, if ships do try to make things better and "nobody cares", what is their incentive?

It's like knowing your school is underfunded, so that you help and support the teachers

Question 2:
How long is the Queen Elizabeth 2?

What movie about a cruise from 1965 featured a dwarf, an artist, a Jew and a doctor with a heart problem? (I had to make this one a little tougher )
