hello there,
we have a little goldfish in a plastic fishbowl, weve had him quite a while now, but the last few days hes acting really strange...
swimming upside down. and floating at the top and then staying at the bottom upside down !!!!
hes eating normally and sometimes has a burst of activity...
does any body know whats wrong with him please.

I'm not very informed on goldfish but I do know they are prone to swim bladder disorders. Could be he's gotten a bit constipated...is his belly bloated? You might just try not feeding him for a few days and see what happens. I know when bettas get constipated..fasting them for a few days and then offering a few pieces of cooked frozen pea will help to clear them out. You could give this a try as it won't hurt him any, but while you do this also do some research and find out more. It could be something else. Perhpas someone else here is more knowledgeable on goldfish and can help you out more.
