Can you teach yourself Tarot?

Can you please explain a bit about why some decks use wands as air and swords as fire? (Don't know the level of your readership ... maybe that's too advanced, but I thought I'd throw it to you just in case.)

Do you think when we do our own tarot readings we interpret things into the reading that aren't there (so to speak).I like to do readings for other people but am always wary of doing my own

That is weird, I am working on an article explaing why some say air and some say fire. When you do readings for yourself you have to be very open to whatever comes through. My friend does readings for herself and she is focusing on so many things she does influence the cards. Completely clear your mind and only focus on what you are asking the cards.
