Okay I am totally craving ice cream, but I found a substitute for it! take any kind of fruit juice, pour it in the blender, dump a couple of trays worth of ice cubes in.... blend and viola!!!!! You have a smoothie that's yummmy
I add yogurt to my fruits like, strawberry and rasberry. But even just ice and juice gives you something different to drink (with a spoon)

Sorry Jessica, I didn't mean to take so long to answer you. Somehow I missed this post. I would suggest, instead of juice, you might consider using frozen fruit and enough cold water to get your blender to whirl. That way, you get the advantage of fruit fiber and not just the juice. If you do this, be sure the fruit is cut up to just the right size to be put into the blender. I made this suggestion once to someone who froze bananas without peeling them first. Boy, it sure is a bugger to get the peeling off a frozen banana!

mmm, my husband bought me a TON of frozen fruits (cheaper than the fresh stuff) anyway, I've been blanding away! Oh! But if you like doing this, I suggest NOT using frozen rasberries or bags with mixed fruits that use rasberries. They are full of seeds! So you get a rather crunchy drink.

We actually got a bag of frozen fruit on Sunday - I had seen the add for the Schwans deliver-to-your-home service on the site and wanted to try it. You get a free frozen dinner for trying them out. So I added a frozen fruit to the order.

It wasn't nearly as nice as fresh fruit, but it did seem like it'd be nice for sangrias and other uses where you really didn't have to eat them "raw". I should try smoothies with them too!

I'm with you Lisa, frozen fruit isn't all that good. You can't really do much with it, unless you blend them up in smoothies! If you really like margaritas, you can add the fruit to them as well ( we drink non-alcoholic margaritas all the time)
