Wow, I like the clothes, not sure about the show over all
Posted By: Stephanie Austin Re: Desperate Wives - 10/13/04 10:05 PM
I find it entertaining. Good cast. Makes me not want to be a mother anytime in the near future though I'll probably try to catch most of the episodes.

I want to know more about the one who died and her family. They really space the info out and keep you on the edge of your seat
Posted By: Stephanie Austin Re: Desperate Wives - 10/19/04 09:57 PM
I liked Sunday's episode. Do you think the box contained a child's remains or an adult??
Posted By: M o e Re: Desperate Wives - 10/19/04 10:33 PM
I think it will be an elderly parent. And I think the husband did it. He's nasty. I really, really really like the FBI agent.
Posted By: Stephanie Austin Re: Desperate Wives - 10/20/04 03:29 PM
Yeah, the FBI agent is a hottie...he seems nice, but then he's has a secret as well.

I'm sad that Susan is going to be blackmailed for the fire...already nervous about that.

The only reason I don't think the husband was responsible for the killing is that he's the first person we think of. What if he helped his wife cover it up and is now angry that he has to deal with it forever...he has to clean up the mess, and maybe he harbors some resentment?? Who knows...we'll find out soon

Who sent the note? I think that will be interesting to find out.

I think the young guy is cute. He is 25 in real life, not in high school.

We were yelling at the TV when Susan was giving away her tickets. Being a mom, I love the story line with the kids.
Posted By: Judith, Football editor Re: Desperate Wives - 11/01/04 03:31 PM
I am trying to figure out if the FBI agent is an agent or is he a bad guy? I thought about that in the begining and then after last night and his talk with the older man, I am not sure.

I've fallen in love with this show because their reactions to certain situations. They do and say the things you think about doing. I think the father has something to do with the family secret. Especially since the son is angry at him and the father quickly sent him away.

So have I.It's a lot closer to reality I think then some people want to admit.
Posted By: raleigh Re: Desperate Wives - 11/18/04 05:07 PM
I know no one has written about this topic in a few weeks, but I thought I would start it back up...

I am enjoying it a lot, much to my surprise. I thought it looked super trashy from the previews (which, of course, it is!), but then after an episode or two I was hooked. Anyone have any idea what the big secret is about the woman who killed herself? I sort of wonder how long they will keep that info secret.

I absolutely love the Susan character. I honestly feel like I could be in her exact situation with some of the embarassing stuff she goes through. LOL!
Posted By: Dr_Wright Re: Desperate Wives - 11/20/04 01:40 PM
I think they may hold onto the secret of why she killed herself until the end of the season.
I hope its good, not like finding out Mr Big's name ( on Sex in the City is JOHN!
I could have smacked them- all that drama for someone named JOHN??

What about the Housewives commercials?
the one with the NFL?? was it over the top?
Posted By: raleigh Re: Desperate Wives - 11/22/04 12:17 PM
I think the NFL commercial was just a publicity stunt. Based on last night's episode, I think they are just trying to draw attention to Nicolette Sheridan's character since she is becoming a bigger part of the plot. I didn't think the commercial was all that bad, just a shameless PR stunt...
Posted By: M o e Re: Desperate Wives - 11/22/04 01:02 PM
Well, it looks like Nicolette won't be around for much longer. Mary Alice's husband hired a hit man to off her. Not that I'd mind. I hate her character. Interesting how everyone's life in the cul de sac affects the neighbours in some way. The whole divorce, new car, car accident, family reunited scenario was interesting.

I hate her character too. I never got why they always played her up as a main character. This last episode was the most interesting so far. It seems like things are finally starting to come together. Should be interesting to see what happens next...

I was thrown by the car accident, what kind of people are these that they dont care about an old lady laying in the street???

Now that the little momma has been mowed down, does everyone think Nicolette is the one who will die???

Definitely!! I would be really surprised if she wasn't the one who died.
Posted By: Stephanie Austin Re: Desperate Wives - 11/23/04 07:50 PM
She's the one that would seem most logical since she's more of a fringe character than the other women
Posted By: Judith, Football editor Re: Desperate Wives - 11/29/04 03:08 PM
I guess we were wrong. I think that was strange how they had Susan and Mike making love while he killed her. I think Brie's son is a real brat. He could have killed a woman and doesn't care.
Posted By: Roni Re: Desperate Wives - 11/29/04 06:12 PM
Well, Martha was no love bug that's for sure. I think she sent Mary Alice the nasty note because she knew what MA had "done to that baby" with a reference to her "in Hell"(I.E.: abortion)..I hope there are not this many sociopaths on the street where I live; including our young hit and run kid. Did you catch the show where the original dead woman's son was punching out his Dad? ...guess we'll find out in some sort of desperate time frame
Posted By: Stephanie Austin Re: Desperate Wives - 11/29/04 07:38 PM
Judith, I completely agree about the makeout/murder scene. I was a little distraught by that as well. I really enjoy this show...it keeps me on my feet...

I'm always anxious for susan, who seems to find a way no matter what to mess things up! And I feel sorry for Brie...what would I do in that situation?? Gabrielle drives me a bit nuts...do you think she'll change??

Can't wait until the next episode.
Posted By: Dr_Wright Re: Desperate Wives - 12/01/04 09:10 PM
I think hit and run kid is really creepy!

All the sons on that show are really creepy? What about Mary Alice's son - very strange! I only saw a few minutes of the last show - lots of traffic on my ride back from Thanksgiving But I have been reading online and message boards, so I think I have caught up. Can't wait to see next week's episode.
Posted By: Judith, Football editor Re: Desperate Wives - 12/13/04 03:09 PM
I liked the way they made it an adult body in the trunk, so it isn't the baby sister. I am glad Brie turned her son in. He was smoking in his room at the end of the show. Why wasn't he arrested at school for it?
Posted By: Roni Re: Desperate Wives - 12/14/04 04:35 PM
I heard that the Martha actress will be back and her sister is moving into her house...the same actress/different part?
Posted By: Dr_Wright Re: Desperate Wives - 12/19/04 01:29 PM
Judith- I think its a fancy prep school that can not have scandel
Posted By: Roni Re: Desperate Wives - 01/06/05 06:14 PM
There is a new show this Sunday...did anyone see the women on Oprah? I missed all but a few minutes ....
Posted By: Dr_Wright Re: Desperate Wives - 01/10/05 07:08 PM
OK, I must have missed an episode, Last night there were a lot of things I wanted to watch.
Here are my questions:
Is the sister the same actress?
What happened to Mama-hit and run?
And HOW did hit and run kid make his mother take care of his father? Isnt his judgement suspect?
and also, where can I get TIVO quick?
Posted By: WeatherEditor@BellaOnline Re: Desperate Wives - 01/19/05 03:48 AM
I'm such a Desperate Housewives junkie I can't miss an episode! I've watched it from the start and havent missed an episode! I can honestly say it has been a few years since I couldnt miss a TV show! LOL...Did everyone catch the Golden Globes and the ladies? The show picked up 2 awards Best Television Series - Musical Or Comedy and Best Actress In A Leading Role - Musical Or Comedy Series (Susan) Teri Hatcher.
And to answer your questions Letitia No the sister is not the same actress..she formerly played the part of Beebe Frasiers agent on Frasier. Carlo's Mama is still in a coma. Bree's son made his mother take care of his Dad (Rex) because Bree didnt want to tell the kids about her husbands affair so she is taking care of Rex for he kids sake then once he's better he has to leave she told him. I'm glad to have other fans to dish the dirt with.
Posted By: Roni Re: Desperate Wives - 01/19/05 06:41 PM
Ryan O'Neal will be on as a philandering grandpa next show...and it looks like the Huber women are all on the witchy side of things....estate sale in rather than a wake and cash NO checks... What a neighborhood! :rolling:
Posted By: Judith, Football editor Re: Desperate Wives - 01/19/05 08:13 PM
Susan was a lot calmer than I would have been if someone threw ashes in my face. That was so gross.
Posted By: raleigh Re: Desperate Wives - 01/19/05 09:35 PM
I loved that scene with Susan - one of the best all season! She is so funny. I like all of the characters, but she is def my favorite. And LeeAnn, I am with you - a total DH junkie
Posted By: WeatherEditor@BellaOnline Re: Desperate Wives - 01/21/05 01:34 AM
Judith I agree with you I would have slugged Edie if I was Susan ...I was kinda expecting a fight and for both of them to go into the river fighting so I was surprised when Susan was so calm...LOL...but then again thats Susans character she's very non-confrontational and takes a lot of stuff from others and doesnt complain.

Raleigh glad to see another junkie here with me...LOL..Hello I'm LeeAnn and I have a Desperate Housewives addiction eek And I agree with you I like all the characters too but Susan is the funniest although Lynette was funny when her kids were out of control I was rolling with laughter when she had them digging the hole for a pool!

OPrah will be with the housewives next week I think or something. Anyway, who knew Oprah was such a fan? I thought the TV show thing was pure publicity.
Posted By: raleigh Re: Desperate Wives - 02/01/05 02:20 PM
I heard about that but didn't understand... is oprah going to be on DH or are the DH girls going to be on her show?
Posted By: Dr_Wright Re: Desperate Wives - 02/02/05 01:04 AM
How do you feel about oprah being on the show?
she isnt married or divorsed so.. u hm

whats da deal?- besides more advetising for her
Posted By: WeatherEditor@BellaOnline Re: Desperate Wives - 02/02/05 03:11 AM
Oprahs a huge fan of the show and she was honored to be on it when they asked her. She's going to be living next door to Carlos and Gabrielle and shes going to buy and sell her house all in the one show she's on...the producers wrote the script around her...I saw the preview of one scene and Oprah was saying oh Lynette and she was holding a measuring cup and asking if she could borrow a cup of sugar..it will be interesting to see how they include Oprah in Wisteria Lane.

Okay, Brie's son is BAD. Did you guys hear his plan about paying her back? Okay she is not the most supportive mom, but that was bad. Now I want to know what he is going to do.
Posted By: ehale Re: Desperate Wives - 04/25/05 03:46 PM
That recap episode was so helpful! I haven't been watching every Sunday night so I finally understand some things that have been really confusing me the last few times I've turned in.
Posted By: elecx Re: Desperate Wives - 04/25/05 06:37 PM
i recorded it...still have to watch the recap ep.

i guess on the next ep Gabrielle is gonna be pregnant...shes gonna flip lol its probably not even carlos' kid.
Posted By: raleigh Re: Desperate Wives - 04/28/05 03:11 PM
I missed the recap... so bummed Was there any new info us just clips from earlier shows? I think its a good idea that they did a recap. Its such a good show but some people I know are hesitant to watch because they don't know what's going on.

OK, is everyone ready to rock and roll? I't's almost time for the wives to return?
Posted By: Southeastasiatravel Re: Desperate Wives - 11/26/05 05:30 AM
What was the reason the actor who played the guy in the basement leave the show? Does anyone have the real scoop?

Taisha
Southeast Asia
Posted By: Judith, Football editor Re: Desperate Wives - 11/28/05 04:41 PM
I am not sure why he left. I had heard he exposed himself to someone. Who knows? He claims that they decided to go in a new direction.

So what did you guys think about Bree leaving the guy to die? He is nuts. I figured she had called the police and they were waiting outside for him to confess to her. I loved it when she shot the speaker off the truck.

Only on DH can they have a homewrecking Nun.
