I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for almost two years. Recently, my boyfriend has started to physically shove me away whenever he doesn't want me to hug him or kiss him- without warning. Sometimes I fall back or I hit the wall. I broke down and started crying today. I told him that I'm tired of him shoving me around, to which he replied "shut up". I don't really know where else to turn to. I can't talk about this with my friends, because I'm really ashamed. I also really love him, and so this is really confusing and hard for me. Is it normal for significant others to do this?

It's not normal and it probably will get worse. You have nothing to be ashamed of, but your boyfriend does. You should not allow him to isolate you from other people. Either he goes with you to counseling to learn how to control his behavior and get to the root of his problems, or you dump him. But he should not be taking things out on you. Be careful and take care of yourself.
