Hi everyone
It's time for some fun and games. I have posted some word games on the feng shui site so take a break and test your skill.
While you are visiting the forum jump in and play the holiday game.
End of the year holidays are on the way. How do you celebrate? Starting with the letter A in this post, the next poster tells us how they celebrate with something starting with the letter B. Next person starts with C and so on and so forth.
Enjoy
Diane
Letter A- Apple cranberry pie is a favorite at our Thanskgiving table.
Next person who post starts with B
Ok ,
Guess we are having trouble getting started. So I'll go again
B=Butterball Turkey Once in a while my family would try something other than turkey for the big meal. But everyone complained about the lack of turkey. Eventually Mom gave up and just stuck to the turkey.
C = CRANBERRIES - Each year I experiment with a new recipe using cranberries. Last year it was an apple/cranberry/caramel cobbler.(it got rave reviews)
This year, I am using dried cranberries in some way...perhaps in a separately baked dressing/stuffing sort of thing to go with the turkey and also the vegetarian loaf I do for my vegan relatives ....or maybe in the breakfast scones.
(We always have freshly made orange/cranberrry relish on the Thanksgiving table.)
D...Deck The Halls
I love to decorate for Christmas. I usually start right after Thanksgiving.
Energy
You need plenty of it to cope with the festivities! Aren't holidays supposed to renew your energy though <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Fruit
I love the abundance of apples and oranges that decorate the tables of my and friends' homes around the holiday time!

Let me add another F. One year my family came to Texas to visit me at school. We went to Mexico for the day and my Mom bought a beautiful articulated fish in silver and mother of pearl. It turned out to be one of those things that looks great in the environment but when it got back to Wisconsin it just seemed weird.
So a tradition began that each christmas someone would receive it as a present. It was hidden away all year in a closet and the first one to grab it in secret got to give it away. It was a riot when the recipienet opened the package and found that darned fish.
G=giblets
The argument each year was whether or not to include the turkey liver as an ingredient of the stuffing. Especially if we were having guests that didn't care for liver.
Somehow it always managed to sneak its way into the recipe and added that extra something. You wouldn't know it was there if no one told you!
Horseradish
(it's nice to have a little over the veg.--spices them up!)

I=Icicles
Or you may call them tinsel. Does your family disagre about how to put icicles on the tree? Do you carefully place them individually on each branch? Do you toss them with great abandon and let them fall where they may? Do you have to leave the bottom of the tree icicle free because of your pets?
Well the HOLIDAYS are over but there are still plenty of holidays to come. Next up, Valentine's Day. What do you have to add to our alphabet game?
J=Jewelry
Now isn't that a perfect gift for Valentine's Day. Did you receive a special piece of jewelry on this holiday? Tell us about it.
Hmmm, for Valentines Day I'll have to go with...
K is for Kisses (and it better not be the only gift I get for V Day!)
Well Valentine's Day is over and I hope that Karen received more than kisses. It is almost March so how about St Patricks Day?
L= Leprechaun
May they help you find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Thats a hint for the letter M
