What is your favorite Chinese food? And do you have or need or a recipe?
It might be quicker to tell you what I don't like.
I LOVE it all. One of my favorite places is a GOOD Chinese food buffet, then I can try it all.
I like stuff that is sweet AND spicey at the same time. I love Egg Foo Young.
Hi Lisa-
Thanks for your post. I Love it all too!! Do you have any favorite recipes you'd like to share? We'd love to hear them if you do.
I'm a fan of all things Chinese also! I really enjoy crispy eggplant as well as honey sesame chicken. I've tried to make the dishes at home but after a few attempts I've conceded to the notion that the cooking should be left to our favorite local Chinese place! We enjoy going there so much anyway I don't know why I'd even think of trying to recreate their fabulous dishes at home...
I should try cooking more but honestly I have a great place that delivers to my house, they leave out the coloring I am allergic to and don't use MSG, a really nice family run business.
I also have alot of Chinese antiques that I inherited, the girls love to come in and look around at the different things I have.
Just thinking about my favorites is making me hungry. I better run before my neighborhood take-out joint closes!
I have been craving either Orange Beef or General Tso's chicken OR Sesame chicken. I love that sweet and hot taste.
Some places make this too syrupy but the place close to me is perfect. Its a wonderful mix of tastes once you top it with a little soy sauce.
I love General Tso's! Also, I like Cashew Chicken. And that orange sauce, I love the orange sauce on spring rolls.
And good fortune cookies with life changing messages.
I like any kind of Lo Mein. My favorite is a restaurant special that includes shrimp, pork, and chicken.
I also like to munch on the thick and crispy Chinese noodles. They make a great snack.
Steamed potstickers! LOVE THEM!
I just ordered House Special fried rice, Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls, Kung Pao Shrimp and Sesame Chicken. I haven't had Chinese food in some time.
My fiance just loves those noodles too! They make an excellent snack! And the chow mein noodles make a great snack as well, much better for kids than chips and cheese doodles!
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lisa-
Did you eat all that in one day by yourself? I certainly could! I love it! And all those things sound wonderful!
I know you mentioned that you had a great take out place by your house, but have you ever tried making any of those things at home?
Hi LILA
I have a question about Sushi, could Sushi be dangerous to health if not prepared well?
Thanks in advance.
Actually, sushi is a Japanese food, but I do think that it could definitly be dangerous if it is not prepared well. Just as any raw meat, raw fish does have the potential to grow bateria which could be dangerous depending on the type of bacteria and the immune system of the person consuming it.
NO, I didn't eat it all. I like to order alot like that and then eat it for the next couple days. Even my daughter liked the Kung Pao shrimp even though it was hot.
She also loves the fried rice. I'm allergic to yellow dye, the place I order from makes a yang chow friend rice that is wonderful with pork, chicken and shrimp in the rice.
I haven't tried making it myself but I should. I love Chinese food so much.
