What Tv show inspires you and why?

Monk Inspires me. I always watch an episode of Monk and then tidy my house.

Mad Men inspires me. Absolutely everything about it.
Authentic art direction - surely that man is from the 50s/60s? And if you need to ask - what man? You haven't seen Mad Men - because Don (aka Dick) is THE man of all time.
Brilliant, slow moving plot lines - they take their time to tell a great tale.
Fabulous (groovy!) - nostalgia value. Ahh, the 60s. I remember them well (albeit through the eyes of a child).
Great social commentary - Mad Men = the Ad men of 60s Madison Avenue, New York, a unique cultural phenomenon.
Give me more more, more!!!!

I watch very little TV, other than movies. The last TV series I enjoyed and watched on a regular basis was the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, about the conflict between humans and the robotic cylons that they created (and that rebelled against their creators).
Sci-fi generally gets little respect from the intellectualoids, but that was one darn good, thought-provoking, intelligent TV show! It raised so many questions in your mind:
What does it mean to be human? Can a machine be alive? Is technology more harmful than beneficial, or vise versa? Could creations be superior to their creators? Is Earth unique in the universe? Where did humans originate? What is god?
I miss that show so much since it came to an end a couple years ago.

LOL! I like these responses. Monk inspiring a clean house. I never would have thought that, but I can totally see it. Maybe I need to watch an episode for each room in my home. Love that!

Alicia, I LOVED that Battlestar Galactica! I didn't want it to end... but I think it was good they didn't drag it out. And I thought the same things - that show gave me a lot to think about when it came to the nature of the universe LOL!!
I tend to like sci-fi tv more... so I dig shows like Fringe. I was trying to think if it actually inspired me though, or is it just pure entertainment? I actually think it does inspire me - because after I watch it, I think about the beliefs I've grown up with vs. what could really be going on, ya know?

Shows about history, I love learning things and some things actually inspires me. Besides that I have followed many shows and the only show I can say inspired me is Beauty and the Beast (the original).
