Anyone know much about Enzyme Delivery? I am on the Enzyme Diet and wonder if the patented Enzyme Delivery mechanism is a huge benefit compared to other diet suppliments like Slimfast?

Hello Tink,

I don't know about "Enzyme Delivery" but do know that taking enzymes improves absorption and makes a person healthier...and probably slimmer over a period of time. I'll have to look up the product. We take enzymes every day and my husband was told to take them without fail to help his pancreas and liver work better as he has Type II diabetes.

I do know that "Slimfast" is not a good product to reduce weight or to do anything else (some people take it simply to replace meals they don't have time to eat. I have a friend whose daughter has Schizophrenia and is being treated for that with great effect by her specialist. However, when she puts on some weight (which the drugs given to Schizophrenics causes) she starts taking Slimfast and promptly "falls off the wagon" in that she stops taking her medication because she thinks she doesn't need it anymore.

Her doctor determined that Slimfast has a product in it (the most active ingredient which makes you not want to eat) which boosts the dopamine to the brain (or the seratonin, I'm not sure.) Anyway, to make a long story short, anyone who has the slightest preponderance towards depression (which is likely most of us) should not take Slimfast.

I have a thread in my Delphi forum about that where people have written on their adverse effects from Slimfast. Since then, I've been trying to warn everyone of it's side effects.

If you have time, tell us about the product you're taking and what it's supposed to do. It seems you're not having much of an effect yet since you seem to be frustrated. Remember that natural remedies take longer to work but work longer as a result (in fact, ongoing.)

Hope this helps.

Enzymes seem to be the key to efficient food absorption and more importantly, pancreas and liver function. I'd like to read more about the value of enzymes in the diet.
