Dear Friends,

The level of discourse in this country is becoming more and more acrimonious and I think it's important to understand that this is part of community organizing strategy. It comes right out of Alinsky's playbook, Rule for Radicals. I have two posts on my blog right now that I hope you'll share widely. One shows how the strategies of Alinsky are being played out by President Obama and useful idiots like Carter. The other is the poignant story of a black conservative whose dad was the first black in the Baltimore fire department. He is living testimony to the damage of the War on Poverty on the black family and the importance of a father in the home.

We are living in challenging times. It's essential to understand what's happening.

As you read the articles, consider that the Catholic Church through the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has aided and abeted Alinsky's vision at every step. In fact, Saul Alinsky and Msgr Jack Egan from the Archdiocese of Chicago were instrumental in founding CCHD as a way to funnel church money into liberal programs. Multi millions of dollars over the years have gone to Alinskyite organizations to advance godless liberalism which is destroying this nation. Please do whatever you can to encourage people to boycott the CCHD collection in November. And please pray the rosary every day. Our best weapons in the culture war are the Eucharist and the rosary.

The Weekly Standard had an article which mentioned Alinsky and how his philosophy has influenced these organizations. Community organizing takes a lot of dedication and money.

Mary Ann, I was listening to EWTN's World Over News tonight and Raymond Arroyo discussed CCHD with his guest. They discussed the fact that so much money is given to organizations outside the Church when there are Catholic schools and other Catholic organizations serving the poor that are struggling due to lack of funds. It was mentioned that CCHD should be closed down and a new organization created under the control of the bishops to manage where the money goes. I think that money should be donated directly to the Catholic organization of your choice. It is sort of like United Way - why not donate directly to your favorite organization.
