Hello all, is there a traditional patchwork block that you'd like to be included in the Basis Block Plus series? I'm happy to draw up instructions and diagrams for any traditional block in 6", 8", 10" and 12" block measurements.

Let me know here and I'll present it within a few weeks.
Cheerio for now and have fun quilting!

Hi Judie, I would like to see instructions for a block I'm interested in making into a wall hanging. I have Maggie Malone's '5500 Quilt Block Designs'. The name of the block has a half dozen designs, and the design I like has three names, so I need to be specific. The names and Maggie Numbers are Grandmother's Favorite #1710, Grandmother's Own #2215 or Texas Two-Step #2420.

I'd really appreciate it if, as you did with the Pin Wheel Block, you could give an example of a border so the block would look good on it's own.

Thank you for offering to do this. It will be a great help to us 'amateurs'. GrannyH

No problem Granny H, I'm onto it. Do you have a picture I could look at for this block. It's not one I'm familiar with. Thanks Granny H, it's good to hear from you.
Cheerio for now

Judie, since I don't know/can't post a photo here, I have sent you an e-mail with an attachment of the scanned block. The corners and the center of this block are very easy, but the side, top, and bottom patches are a grouping of triangles. These are confusing for me.

I would also like you to give me an idea of how to add borders to make this a decent looking wall hanging. Because this block is called "Grandmother's Favorite" I think I will transfer a photo of my grandchildren onto the center block. Good thing we managed to get one photo of all six of them at Christmas time.

And yes, Judie, it has been a while since I've posted here. I'm having a hard time getting back into sewing mode. Haven't done much since before Christmas. But I've been checking out ideas, so I should get back into it soon.

Thanks for your help, again. GrannyH
