Hi can someone please tell me , what are the essentials to carry when one is fishing alone apart from rod,reel,line etc..

I remember once catching a fish on my own and not knowing what to do next...the person helping me had gone off somewhere...
I could'nt get the hook out...and I started to feel bad that I was doing it wrong.
