I have been bumping into the Law of Attraction everywhere lately - in books/CD's and my business team.

Has anyone really tried to work with Law of Attraction? Tell us about your success?

I had a powerful experience with the Law of Attraction. I have two businesses, one being an accounting service. I was at a point this summer when some of my clients had slowed down.

So my intention was "I need another accounting client." Literally within 2 hours I had a message from a brand new client who I had never spoken with before, saying he needed help right away. 2 hours!! If you've seen "The Secret" the message is that the Universe says "Your wish is my command." This was a huge confirmation of this.

My husband also has been practicing the Law of Attraction and he was offered a wonderful new job at a significantly higher salary.

I think there's a lot of components with this: gratitude, belief and daily practice.

I still have many areas I'm working on but in a few instances this was magical.

Law of attraction does work.
Posted By: groundedlight Re: Law of Attraction - 09/06/06 09:42 PM
The Law of Attraction is "law" like gravity, has been working our whole lives.
-Issues at hand being many people are "living on autopilot" so therefor see only what they are sure exists, the dream isnt there for more, one has to believe they are worth it, and its just to dream what they do, and have to make a conscious focus to get out of ones own way, let stuff slide off till the "vision" adn the "reality" match, after all, the physical manifestation in this multiverse tha twe are now in, is a choice, and truly, the world about us is the "illusion" in a world of light and energy, or so some woudl believe.
What do you believe?
Thanks, Have a Great Day

Were can I get more information?
Posted By: Modern Woman Re: Law of Attraction - 09/07/06 07:12 AM
Visualization is best. whatever you want, belive that you you have got it. Imagine possessing that. Slowly the law of attraction will help you getting that.
Posted By: groundedlight Re: Law of Attraction - 09/08/06 02:39 AM
There are many people, places, books, and sites totally dedicated to LOA (Law of Attraction).
I could say the powerful intentions forum, as its founded on the principles of LOA, rich dad poor dad, think and grow rich, many other books on the subject.
-There are many coaches in this field too, though you have to find the resources that resonate with you personally.
I myself find that if you accept that your 5 senses are feeding you an "illusion" and that you can hold true to your "intent" and then get out of your way (dont "worry" or dwell on the results)things work best.
Visualization may be a key, but if its only a "vision" in th eback of your mind you KNOW its only a "picture"- you near have to "trick yourself" into believeing your Intent BEFORE it "manifests", Appreciate it Before you see it, enJOY it before you have it...
then you are "lined up" and are allready open to it.
some do this instantly, some take years for opne thing, its utterly your choice
hope this helps a bit,
have a Great Day

Currently I'm enjoying Michael Losier's information:

http://www.lawofattractionbook.com/

He gives "how-to" information that is really helping me. He speaks of 3 steps: Identifying my desire; then giving my desire attention, but the third step is what was missing for me before and that is "allowing" and getting doubt and resistance out of the way.

WOw...I had these same ideas...I belive that the world wants to be balanced and at peace...therefore the universe wants me to be happy and to achieve what i want...that way I won't have discord within my self and cause discord in the World. Therefore i belive that the universe is working with me to give me what I want...I simply have to be brave enough to claim it. I have gotten just about everything I want. Sometimes its been scary :} Thats because they World has a funny way of working its magic. Trust me what ever energy you put out there is the energy your going to get back.

I just finished reading Dr. Wayne Dyer's book 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. It was the first book I'd read by him but will read more! He offers lots of insights about the Law of Attraction.

Also am now reading Ask and It Will Be Given by Jerry and Ester Hicks which was recommended to me.

I've used this technique myself, even for things like finding a parking space near the entrance. However, now I'm more into attracting more wealth in the sense of the spiritual rather than the material.

this discussion is so empowering. I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Of course, i believe i was more led to all of this wonderful info by the law of attraction than actually stumbling blindly upon it.

thanks for the lead on michael losier's website. it looks very interesting. i've bookmarked it as my favourites, so i can go back and look at it again more slowly.

i enjoy reading the writings of Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer and a book called "Spiritual Marketing" by Joe Vitale. It gives very practical advice on steps we can take to bring greater prosperity and happiness into our lives via our work, businesses and enterprises.

I just purchased a book the other day that some here might be interested in. It's called "Quantum Success" by Sandra Anne Taylor, and it deals with manifesting all that you desire in your life. It's based upon quantum physics, but is a very easy read. So far I've only read the first 3 pages, but am enjoying it.

I also love all of Wayne Dyer's and Deepak Chopra's teachings. And Jerry and Esther Hicks have written much on the subject of manifestation. There is also a woman on HayHouse radio named Summer McStravick (think I spelled her name correctly) who teaches something that she calls 'flowdreaming'...which is all about visualization as a means of manifesting...it is sort of like daydreaming, but with a twist; you place as much emotion into your visualizing as you can.

It's a fascinating subject, and I've noticed several prominent things that have manifested into my life in the past, including the cat I now have. Fritz came about many years ago inadvertently. (And I do believe that just about everything in our lives is a product of our own manifesting; we simply don't realize for the most part that we are doing so.) I was looking at a magazine one day and happened to come across an ad for cat food. In it, a huge grey/blue cat with a white spot on his chest was sitting next to a model and was rubbing his head against her cheek. I said to my son, 'Now that's the kind of cat I'd love to have...that color, and so affectionate'. I never thought about it again. However, fastforward to almost two years later...I was standing in my bathroom in front of the mirror, getting ready for work. Fritz, a cat I'd taken from someone who didn't want him any more (long story...he was injured...owner didn't want to pay for surgery), was sitting on the sink watching me, as he usually did. He was becoming a bit annoying because every time I tried to put my contacts in, he would 'bump' me on the side of the face with his head. I was just about to tell him to stop when I looked in the mirror, and realization struck me. There I was, looking at myself...and this big grey/blue cat of mine, Fritz, complete with a white spot on his chest, was purring contentedly and rubbing his head against my cheek. I think that was the first time I consciously realized that I had manifested something into my life by putting out the 'desire' to the Universe.

And Fritz was a pretty nice manifestation, too... <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Lynn Grabhorn wrote a fantastic book on this subject. It's titled 'Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting'. Her premise is that while visualization is nice, it's actually feeling as if you already have what you desire. I've been following her methods for years now and my life couldn't be better.

Of course I shared this with all my friends and family and have given several copies of her book away to loved ones. I have to say there is little as frustrating as giving this information to someone, having them initially embrace it, and then fall back into old habits. Then later they act like there's some grand universal conspiracy against them and denounce the LoA as a bunch of garbage. I'm a little sick of people acting as if I lead a charmed life. It's not magic and I've told them how to materialize the same in theirs, but they persist in their assessment that I'm just 'lucky'.
Posted By: A_Miracle Re: Law of Attraction - 11/06/06 08:24 AM
I fully agree with you. We all have the potential and abilities to fulfill what we desire. We just need to ask for it. I do that by visualization and writing journals.

ASK and it shall be given.

I really liked the books by Ester and Jerry Hicks also. I recently read the Ask and it will be Given book and only yesterday got their latest one on the Law of Attraction.

The ironic thing about the Law of attraction is that everyone uses it, they just might not be aware of it. Once you discover the concept of whatever you think about you will attract, you try to learn not to think about what you DON'T want. For someone like me who always liked to worry a lot, hoping to prevent certain things from happening, it was a real eye-opener.

There is a passage in the Bible where I think Job says "The thing I greatly feared has come upon me!" Now we know why the things we fear most could manifest in our lives.

Much better to concentrate on what we want most and manifest that.

I agree about manifesting things. When I was young I wanted to live in Greece more than anything. When I went into the Navy I had the chance to live in Greece for 2 years and it was wonderful!

I'd love the chance to live in England. My ancestors are from there and its one country I've never visited.

Hi Danielle,
Law of Attraction is exactly that...it's a law and it's working all the time without exception! BUT the magic happens when you start to use it consciously.
Over the past 3 years I've manifested a new business which is constantly expanding, plus an on-line business. My relationships and my health are better than ever. I feel happier and more at ease than at any time in my life.
As well as these big-picture manifestations I manifest all kinds of small things every day, for example a new trailer,a car, particular items of clothing, cheap air-fares, cheaper accommodation, unexpected money, compliments, books, CD's and DVDs. law of Attractions enables me to create the day that I want and everything just tends to fall into place the way I like it!
There are lots of fabulous books and course out there, many mentioned in this thread.
I love Science of Getting Rich. There's a link to the free book in my web site.

Expect Abundance

"Find something to be happy about. With each moment
of bliss, more of that which you've identified as
your desire flows to you, until another moment of
bliss comes and another, and another, and it seems
as if the entire Universe revolves around you - and
it does. So, a very short seminar would serve you,
if you could hear it. And it would go something like
this: Find something to be happy about. Goodbye!"

Hi everyone,

I can tell you that the LOA certainly works in my life. Here are some things that have occurred in the past 18 months since I started using LOA principles:

1. My relationship with my husband of 38 years has gone from almost dead to great.

2. I have gone from being broke to having a net worth of over $300,000.00 in that time.

3. I have gone from no income to $3,250.00 a month for 6 hours work each month. I think that works out to around $540.00 an hour!

4. Recently I had $500.00, $40.00, and $100.00 show up unexpectedly.

5. I just found a fabulous company that I'm going to start working with on the Internet. It's a great way to earn an almost passive income and the gal who got me into it has increased her $125.00 original investment by 10,000% in the last 4 months!

I could go on and on, but you get the idea. I can specifically attribute all of the above plus more to using the LOA.

I'd love to discuss LOA at any time with anyone! I have Michael Losier's book, "The Law of Attraction" and have also worked with him on teleclasses and have taken his training. I'm actually in the process of starting a LOA training session as well. Just working on the content now.

Hope to hear more about LOA as I think it's amazing what it can do for people.

Once implemented, it will benefit you in every aspect of your life. I have several home business' and all are build basically utilizing the 'laws of attraction'. Think about it, would you want to be in business with you? When you buy or utilize a service from someone else, why do you do that? Simply, the 'laws of attraction', how they handle themselves, their auroa, their confidence, positive thinking, etc...

I too watched 'The Secret' and it was good, but jumped around alittle too much. I wish they would have stayed on each clip longer. Good luck!!

I just downloaded the audio book of "The Secret." It's terrific! I didn't see the movie. I've been taking the audio book with me when I walk every day and now I have my husband listening to it.

I highly recommend it. I've read books by Ester and Jerry Hicks and Dr. Wayne Dyer also.

I've been using LOA to build my health website and it's working! I know the other day when I had a fight with someone close to me and was basically down and depressed all day, it was reflected in many things that showed up that day.

I've see LOA work both for manifesting the good and the bad and I'll take the good any day.

I just finished the audio Cd of the book, The secret. It was really great. I'm trying to use all the principals I learned like visualization techniques, and focusing on what I want.

I do feel clearer and more joyful since I"ve been concentrating on bringing more peace and joy into my life. I think I'm more patient with other people too, realizing that they are on their own path and that they don't have to conform to what I want them to be.

As a student, I try and visualize good grades, mastering all the subjects I'm taking and as an athlete, I envision being healthy and strong and doing my best-not necessarily winning-just performing at the best of my own ability.

This has helped me feel much more confident about life and the future.

Thanks so much for all these wonderful resources! I'm a college student and have just began using the Law of Attraction consciously. I think my life and thoughts have always been pretty positive but now, realizing I can focus on good things I want in my life and bring them to me is so wonderful.

I've used the Law of attraction in the past because I always saw myself at a college in Texas, even thought my parents moved back to Oregon when I was in middle school. I wanted to play softball in a Division one school and really believed that I would. I found the coach and the team who was right for me and now I am the starting pitcher. I sat the bench my entire freshman year but I never doubted that I could earn my place and opportunities opened up for me.

Now I am attending school on a softball scholarship. I also found my major this way. I started out in engineering but didn't really like it. Now I'm in architecture and it is perfect for me. Once I decided on architecture, doors opened and helpful people appeared to help me on my way.

It's really true that if you listen to your inner guidance and follow it, you will be on the right course for you.

Hi

We've been researching the Law of Attraction lately. Michael Losier's book is a very good summary. Lynne Grabhorn's book is also excellent though much longer. We have the CDs of The Secret and have ordered the book now. It's an excellent bringing together of all the important points.

A friend of ours is really into LOA. A couple of years ago she decided she wanted a house in a certain type of location in Scotland. Just before Christmas she and her husband moved into the very house. Her previous house was, in her words, 'riddled with damp' but she found a buyer with no difficulty at all - the buyer did not mind what the survey told her.

Here's a link to a short article on the Law of Attraction and a positive internal dialogue. More articles will be added on a regular basis.

People who make huge amounts of money have a certain mind set. Without it, you will make it unnecessarily difficult to attract money-making opportunities into your life. Money comes in many ways--not just incoming cash but also in forms of huge savings on things you never imagined. The movie The Secret has basic information on laws of attraction and mind power, and it is a good start to understanding the laws of prosperity. But the movie does not drill into the crucial details and what you must do on a day-to-day basis to transform your relationship with money. Recently I came across this interview with Bob Proctor in a report that revealed the Missing Ingredient that turbo-charged the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction really works.
"Most people don't go after what they really want in Life, they go after what they think they can get." says Bob Proctor.

This report is available free at, http://abundanceattractionlaw.com/freereport

Looking at the enthusiasm of the people about this topic here, I thought I would add my 2 cents of contribution.

Well Said, Rivas.

"You don't get rich by doing certain things. You get rich by doing things in a certain way."

I am firm believer of the above statement. Look at the millionaires around us, eg, they are using LEVERAGE to multiply their wealth. MLM structure is one good leverage on your network's effort. Good Debt (Borrow money to invest for higher return) is another leverage.

I have been consciously focusing my thought on Leverage and resulting me in joining an MLM Business with good residual income.

This has been the result of the fantastic Law of Attraction at work!

yeah the law of attraction is very real indeed. Try and not wrap your mind around it too much or else you will think it isn't real or just kinda silly. Basically it's simple, like attracts like, so if you're sending out negative "vibes" that's what you get in return.

Like in the book 'Your life is waiting" the author talks about getting what you want through feeeling ... in other words, get in touch with the feel-good part of that something you want and the universe will bring it to you.

That's a beautiful sentiment, das. I totally agree. If we are going to spend our time thinking and feeling as well, why think and feel bad things when we have a choice not to?

It seems to me that whether or not anyone believes in the Law of Attraction, their life is just better, happier and more fulfilling if they think and dream of good things.

"It seems to me that whether or not anyone believes in the Law of Attraction, their life is just better, happier and more fulfilling if they think and dream of good things."

That's just easier said than done.

And for an update on my situation...we applied for a house loan finally, we were in the process of closing on a home when my husband lost his job.

We felt sure that he would find something quickly and he has. But we were denied the loan and won't be able to get the house. It will take another year before we can begin the loan process on a conventional house again.

So while we feel that we will be ok financially, we certainly have to make an effort to make it so. The housing situation remains bleak and gets depressing.

Sorry to hear that, HisBrandy! I know the housing loans have really tightened up recently as they were so liberal before than people are now defaulting in huge numbers.

It's very difficult to think positively in these situations, I know. We need to spend nearly $8000 to repair/replace our A/C system. My sister asked me "Well, what were you thinking to attract THAT into your life?" (I'd said the same to her when she had a similar situation.

I guess no one guarantees we won't have problems, we just have to be deterimined that they won't get us down. My husband and I are trying to stay out of debt and I guess my job is believing that spending $8,000 won't put us in debt.

$8,000 in repairs, ouch. Do you have funds saved for emergency repairs or some other ideas on how to handle this without going into debt?
