So which soothes you guys more:
Sitting in a hot tub with bath salts
OR
Standing under or hot shower gently sprinkling over you?

For me, baths are great for sore muscles, but I love the feel and the sound of a running shower. I especially love it when I turn the shower head up to pulsating beat. I can stay in there forever - and then myu whole bathoom is steamed up! laugh

I love both of them - but I normally don't have the time to invest in a bath, if only because our water runs slowly and it will take literally a half hour before I get the whole bathtub ready for me. So that is a lot of time. I very rarely take baths as a result. I should take more, it would really help my shoulders uncramp!!

Baths! I am all about the treats. Salts, bombs, oils, bubbles, floating petals, melts... smile

I prefer baths and when I had a jacuzzi tub I was in there almost every night. Now, I take a bath (with Epsom salts) about two or three times a week) and shower the rest of the time.
Bath!!!

When I'm stressed, I love to get into a nice hot bath with bubble bath in it, have a glass of wine and read my book until my skin crinkles!

I take a candlelit bath every night as a personal gift to myself to end my day in an stressfree way.

That sounds really lovely, Deb! smile

I prefer showers myself --- I love the gentle pounding on my shoulders while I think about a long day gone.

I think I might like showers more if we had better water pressure smile As it is we've done a number of things and have gotten the pressure up to "reasonably tolerable" smile
I have actually started taking more baths - but the credit goes more to Jeanne than anybody else.

She had a "hazlenut coffee" bath salt featured on her eclecticlady site, and it just called to me!

Hubby says I smells yuumy when I'm done, too. wink

Destressing and clears the brain.

Rosie - we'll get you to the point that you can take a bath! Have faith and keep at it!

I just had a nice long bath, something I rarely do, and it felt SO good on my shoulders. It was like paying someone to massage them, but free smile

Taking bath is really good idea to stress out. Well i prefer showers myself.
I think a shower is good....It can take the stress right out of you and wash it down the drain. Hey - the massaging shower heads don't hurt, either!

i am taking more than 1 hour to take a bath for destressing

How would you like to destress and remove toxins on the physical and Etheric level?
Many Etheric toxins are built up just by being around people. Sitting around electronic devices also builds up an unhealthy field.
When you feel overwhelmed, it's a good indicator that a Salt Scrub is needed. This you do in a shower. Be careful though, the oil in the scrub can be slippery.
The Scrub consists of:
1 cup Epsom Salts
1/2 cup Oil (almond, olive, etc.)
Essential Oils / Eucalyptus - 10 drops, Lavender -6 drops and Peppermint - 4 drops
Mix well. Wet the body good and apply from the feet upward, gently massaging on the skin. Do not use on the face, hair or genitals.
Allow it to sit on the skin for a few minutes, if you can and then rinse well.
This not only cleanses you but makes your skin soft.
Let me know how you like it and any changes you might notice after using the Salt Scrub.

Stress and elevated Free Radicals

I take this potent antioxidant formula 3 times a day. XKO3 delivers to reduce cholesterol, help balance blood sugar and most importantly, prevent free radical damage. Originally created for athletes who maintain elevated free radical levels associated with over training and minor injuries. It did not take long for others to see the total benefits this all-natural formula provides. Stress is proven to elevate free radical levels, why not provide your body with the defense it needs.
If your any age, from any walk of life, you could take advantage of this unique supplement.
To really relax, I take baths with lavender fragrance in it. For showers - a lavender body wash - then right to sleep!

Robin, my daughter bathes my new granddaughter in Lavendar baby stuff. She smells so good. And, we sort of think it helps her relax & sleep.

Baths because I only take these to relax. Taking a hot shower is relaxing too of course.

For me, I take a cold shower to relax my nerves. I think I'm the only who does that, am I not? o((◕ฺ∀ ◕✿ฺ))o

Styxx,

I think you are smirk.

A cold shower would definitely not relax my nerves. But I guess it would distract me from any other problems I had! wink

I just had a cold shower. It renewed my energy and I'm ready to go the mall. (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

On a second thought, I'm going to take a warm shower because I find it more relaxing than a cold one. laugh

I recently had the bathroom remodeled and had a deep soaking tub installed. It is wide and deep and fit in the existing space. I love to put in some lavender bath salts, fill it and soak. It helps take all the worries away and I sleep so well after a hot soak.

I think part of the appeal of both a bath and a shower is it is a built-in meditation time. There is quiet. Soft scents. Our mind tends to relax. It reminds us that everything we might think is "important" out there really isn't. We find a way to breathe and reconnect with ourselves.
