It's Metamucil for the bottled water generation.
Aquafina's new nutritional water, Alive Satisfy, Has 3g of fiber, or 10 percent of your daily fiber needs, per serving- and 25 percent of your daily needs per bottle. Just don't drink it while your driving, unless you plan to stop for gas along the way. ;o)

That is so odd - how can there be fiber in water? Usually a fruit juice has far less fiber than the original fruit did. Is it like pulpy orange juice?

no, i have seen the ads. It's clear water.

My guess it that they are using soluble fiber, not roughage type insoluable.

It must have some texture to it right, though? Fiber is a solid ...?

I had to stop by here when I saw the title of the post. I haven't seen this advertised but I think I'll have to find some. I can't imagine fiber in water.

Benefiber is totally dissolved in water, so that main ingredient, Wheat Dextrin, is probably what they use in fiber water, or one similar to it.

And, yep, it is a soluble fiber.

OK now I'm tempted to do a test where Bob mixes up some glasses of that vs glasses of water and gives them to me blind, to see if I can tell which is which.

Hey, the've got a water for every need out there now - protein water, vitamin packed water, fiber water, plain water, flavored water, carbonated flavored water, diet water (why? just... why?), mineral water with the minerals left in, mineral water with the minerals taken out...

Frankly, I'd rather just drink the stuff out of my tap and eat some fruit.

Lisa there are two types of fiber and your body needs both. Soluble fiber is a kind of sticky goo that you eat in things like oatmeal. This moves in your intestines like glue, and toxins stick to it and get eliminated.

I think they can make this into a powder that completely dissolves (thus the name soluble). smile

Then there's the roughage, the insoluble fiber that scrapes your intestines clean, like in fibrous veggies.

So you have two kinds of actions going on with fiber. One thing we all forget to do is make sure we get both types in our diets/supplements.
