Hi everyone,

I think we have sweet grass growing on our property but I'm not sure. I've done some internet research to identify it, but the photos are either not clear or contradictory (thinking there are different varieties) Any tips on how to identify it (photos welcome too!), and when to harvest it?

Hi Colleen, I might be able to help. I to have researched sweet Grass until I`m nearly going grean.Anyway i finally got a plug of
Sweet Grass given to me. The lady that gave it to me said they have no flowers ( internet said they did) She did say they have seed heads. One way you can tell is Sweet Grass is flat. If you smell it you will be able to tell. I can smell this stuff my husband swears a mile away but could never find it.
I have just planted mine so it doesn`t look to good right now
so not sure a picture of it would help you
