Are you or have anyone of you considered going blonde? If so, you might be interested in my newest article: Going Blonde in Spite of the Risk

I was blonde for more than a year about a decade ago. Platinum blonde and it was a wonderful color for me. One month I did not go to my appointment and a few weeks later when I did go to my hairdresser it had become darker with some orange and she could not get it back to fully platinum so I changed color.

I always hated dark blonde until I got it bleached to try pink and I liked it so I may try it soon or later.

I was platinum blonde too and I agree: the darker blonde isn't that great. I don't like it. Also, it is easy for platinum blondes to change color. That happened to me as well. There are special products, like blue and grey shampoos for platinum blonde hair, which I discovered way after the fact.

My hairdresser recommended the blue shampoo but I did not like it so I did not used it often. I never heard about grey shampoos.

I still have no idea what color I will go for.

Hey Nancy,

Yeah. There is shampoo for silver hair. But, do what works for you. I agree with not continuing to use a product that does not work for your hair. I ran into that same problem with a popular natural shampoo. It's been used in my hair at salons with no issue. However, when I tried this same product on my own, it left my hair feeling dry. So, I completed understand the hair struggle, lol.

Plus with me a few years ago I started having dandruffs and since then I cannot go two straight days without an anti dandruff shampoo and to go with another kind of shampoo I need to use these shampoos at least two straight days. I was afraid that will screw with the pink dye but it did not affect it so it should not affect any other colors.

Hey Nancy,

I would just say to do what works for you. You wouldn't want your hair regimen to become tedious.

I've always dreamed about playing with blonde hair, but since I grow my hair out and donate it to charity I try to stay away from anything too severe with the hair. I don't blow dry it, for example. So I'll just have to dream - or buy a wig wink.

Wigs are fun!
