What's the BEST black book you've read so far this year? Was it an Essence Bestseller, or something most of us haven't heard of?

I'm having moment of indecision . . . but I think I vote for BABYLON SISTERS. I reserve the right to change my mind . . .
That is a tough one. I can hardly remember all of the books that I've read this year. Of the books that I can remember, What Goes Around Comes Around by Darrien Lee was my favorite.
INTIMATE CHAOS

This is a very hot book right now! I just finished it and I loved it! All lesbians can relate to the issues in this novel. And the sex scenes are very steamy! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Synopsis (taken from the back of the book):

Sadira, desperately searching for love and intimacy, finds Jessie, who displays a desire to be loved but runs when it is given to her. Intimate Chaos takes you on a journey from bliss to turmoil and back again with its dramatic twists and turns. Will Sadira and Jessie be able to stand firm in the midst of an emotional whirlwind? Is their love strong enough to overcome the many obstacles thrown in their path? A serious accident turns Jessie into Sadira's caretaker--but still, Jessie has a roving eye, regardless of the consequences. And Sadira's not so innocent herself.

These two women struggle to learn lessons from past mistakes and apply them to future attempts at making things right. Waves of sabotage and temptation crash against their already unstable foundation. Can they weather the storm when love becomes chaotic?

Well my favorite AA Author is J. California Cooper so I've been really trying to get up to day on her material. Needless to say that's all I've been writing thus far.

So my favorite of hers that I've read this year would have to be Some People, Some Other Place.

She got a lot of flack for this book because she put a lot of her religious principles into it, but it was still very down to earth with a lot of wisdom so I was inthralled from beginning to end!
