I had a total thyroidectomy in 2001 because of nodules on both sides. I did not have cancer. I've been on 88 mcg levothyroxine for about 8 yrs. Since December 2009, I've been experiencing dizziness, anxiety, muscle weakness, & fatigue. My TSH was 2.02 in December 2009, but A.M. cortisol was 24. Endo said Adrenals were borderline and TSH was Normal and said she wanted to see me again in July 2010. I called Endo yesterday and asked to have bloodwork done on Thyroid and Adrenals because I'm experiencing shaking, dizziness, fatigue, and muscle weakness. If my Adrenals are still 24, should I ask for meds for Adrenals? What tests should I be getting? I take B12 & B complex, Calcium, Magnesium & D, but nothing is increasing energy or helping fatigue symptoms. A month ago, I started on Paxil because of the anxiety, panic attacks. I'm on 10 mg. The pill doesn't seem to be doing anything but contributing to my fatigue. My anxiety and panic attacks seem to be worsening. Could this be due to Adrenals or the Paxil? Thanks, Halley888

Does your dr. dose you based just on TSH or do you have Free T4 and Free T3 tested also?
