Well, somewhere on the website, I told my story -- like many, had the problem of heavy menstrual bleeding and actually developed a pre-cancerous uterine condition. The prolonged bleeding prompted my gynecologist to order the TSH test.
Going online, was told that a TSH over 5 and goiter actually can be treated -- and got the doc to start treatment. He wouldn't have if I hadn't insited. Knowledge can make a difference.
My conditions have all been treatable -- so glad. 7 years down the road, feel so much better since being treated.
