Especially in fall and winter, I like to do a boiling fragrance. When I peel citrus or core apples, I throw the remaining bits in boiling water with some cinnamon and cloves. Ginger is nice, too. It adds needed moisture to the air and a wonderful fragrance.

Just don't let it boil dry. Keep adding water.

This is a fabulous idea Connie, thanks. There are masses of windfall apples around at the moment so will try it out with those to begin with.

The fragrance will really help to cheer up the very "mizzy" and gray days we have just now.
