My main email file got over 20 *gig*. Time for some serious archiving! It's been compressing nearly 24 hours now and is down to 14.9gb . I should be able to access my email in another few hours. I hope. Are you doing any cleaning today?

I have 2000 unread email in one of my folders. I try scanning through 10-15 or more each day. If it gets too tedious I may just delete the oldest emails and tell myself to keep up better.

I've gotten my inbox down below 12,000 messages now. I need to chip away at it each day. If I get busy and can't keep up with it, it grows very quickly. And that's with a lot of my email auto-sorting. Still, if I chip at it, I'll eventually get there. My short term goal is to at least get it down below 10,000.

I have a genealogy box like that - I had over 4,000 unread messages - s0, when I work ion it I tackle about 50 at a time.

That's my aim, is to chip at it slowly but surely. That way it doesn't seem so overwhelming. Right now it's at 11,279.

So happy! I just got my email main inbox down from 13,000 messages to under 8,400. That's better!

What are you up to today?

After all this time are you down to what you receive daily and 0-inbox? I try to keep it at 50 - my remainder includes items that need follow up. Once I can determine what to do with them and the project is finished they are filed in a folder or discarded.
