I want to compile positives and negatives to share with our readers.
I've had an iphone 3g for a few years now. My boyfriend wants to get me the new iphone for xmas but I'm not sure I really need it plus it's so much heavier. He and the kids love that siri.

I use my iphone for really basic stuff, calls, minimal texting, handful of apps (2 of those games), maps and search if I'm out and sometimes for ipod if I'm out walking or to stream internet radio when in car. I rarely sync it too. I usually charge on wall (which tells you how little I use it with itunes).

I love my iphone but not sure I really need an upgrade. What do you think?
If he is talking about the 4g, NO, heavy and the glass breaks easy on the face and back, don't know what the heck they were thinking. Of course our daughter broke her front face and we have to get it fixed. If it is a newer version I think they made changes so that wasn't so much of a problem anymore.

Personally, my husband and I stayed with our 3gs and only upgraded our daughter to the 4 since she needed a replacement and needed more gb then we had. I thought I heard 3gs still got better signals than the 4 but maybe they improved on that as well too. The camera is better on the newer ones too.

If you are leaving the iphone arena, sorry I couldn't say. Yes some of them look so cool. Christmas ads for electronics are so enticing.
If you ever get one that breaks really bad, I found a great site with videos to order and replace the glass. In invalidates the warranty, but seriously, it doesn't cover much if it doesn't cover a broken phone anyway. LOL. In the end the do it yourself repair is about half having someone else do it.
I am planning to buy Samsung Galaxy S4 from the day it came but still not able to buy as I have spent my money on buying a laptop first so I am waiting now with my Nokia phones. Nokia is best for me right now :P
I hate it! I had the LG chocolate (white color) and I loved it but last year (or the year before - my insomnia is screwing with my brain) on January 31 it was the last day for it so had to get a new one. I went with the simplest they had which is a flip one. My first is a flip phone and it was a great phone, the one I have now is way too complicated for what it is. I do not want a smart phone because I use cell phones only in case of an emergency and to make and receive calls.
