I was just casually glancing through eBay yesterday, and came across a Japanese doll which is a match to a WW2 one I have that my boyfriend's mom gave me. Next thing I knew, I was clicking and had top bid on it!! Now my boyfriend is looking at bass guitars and has bid and has been outbid. He still wants it and will bid again.

Isn't it addictive, to find something you really want, just sitting there waiting for you? Remember the old days of going to endless stores to try to find that special thing?

Lisa, I love eBay, but I've had to force myself to stay away--very dangerous to the bank account. It never works for long, though. I'm waiting for delivery of my latest orchid find. My son won an auction for a hard-to-find bike for taller people (he's 6'11'). I'm reserving judgement until I see it in person.

Back when Beanie babies were so popular and pricey I dropped lots of $$ because of eBay. Now I buy yarn and orchids

Two Christmasses ago, we got some great Pokemon cards for my son on eBay, and he was thrilled with them. He had some of his friends sell off their collections when they got bored and made quite a bit of money! It's definitely great for finding things that are hard to track down. They seem to have everything

LOL I love eBay! I have a Pfaltzgraff dish set that my mother in law started for me a couple of years ago. I get one or two pieces for Christmas every year. I was getting impatient so I started picking up a piece every now and then on ebay.

Well here and there has now become at least weekly. My mom is an avid ebayer and she even started keeping a list of what I have and don't have so she can pick up items for me.

My mom gets my kids game boy games once in a while too.

That's so neat, that you both work on it together sortof! And the whole concept in general is amazing. That one group of people have things they don't really value, and can use the extra money ... and another group would really like that item because it's something they have always wanted. And before eBay, the ones with them would have just left them in their attics, or sold them locally, while those wanting them would have had to scour for years to 'come across it'!
